The Haus Design + Build, Inc. team has over 25 years of proven experience in the construction industry. Our talents and expertise have been honed every year, creating what is now one of the best home remodeling and construction solutions in the San Antonio and Hill Country area.

Our Story

This business model was conceived in 1995 when Suzanne became frustrated by the disappointing customer service, sloppy workmanship, missed deadlines, poor communication, and broken promises on her own personal projects. Armed with a passion to bring change to the industry, and coupled with a long family heritage of construction, the design and construction business was formed. Our first showroom, Mountain Home Design Center,  was opened in Mammoth Lakes California. Coastal Home Design Studio followed in North County San Diego. Needing to better service our San Diego clients we opened our next showroom in partnership with Cassidy Interiors in the Cedros Design District in Solana Beach. Working with Gary Pederson of Cassidy has strengthened our offering of exquisite South of the border custom furnishings and fixtures as well as adding the design-build component to his showroom. Coastal and Del Rio are a family run business dating back to its inception. Suzanne and her husband Rob are a great design-build team. Their son Matt is a huge asset and works in all facets of the company. Amber might as well be family and assists Suzanne with project design. We all love dogs, so strap on a leash and bring them down!!

Giving Back

Haus Design + Build, Inc. is proud to support the men and women of our armed forces both active duty and veterans through the SSO outreach. SSO is a military and Veteran Outdoor Company devoted to building relationships and community through the venue of skydiving, rock climbing, sailing, fly fishing, and backpacking. Rob loves to take the service members sailing, fly fishing, or backpacking. SSO is devoted to refreshing our service members both mind, body, and spirit. Coastal Home Design Studio is grateful for the men and women of the San Diego Sheriff  department who risk their lives serving and protecting our communities. This wonderful foundation supports the men and women of the San Diego Sheriffs Department by supporting wounded deputies, memorials, scholarships, and community organizations.

The San Diego Police Foundation serves the men and women in blue who protect Americas finest city.  Thanks to this foundation the SDPD is enhanced with new protective gear, improved technology, new police dogs, and much more. Join is in giving to this worthy foundation.Rob and Suzanne wanted to help create real change in the lives of the homeless in San Diego County.

When looking for an organization to give to Alpha Project was an easy choice. They are actively involved on the streets  to bring real life change to the homeless population. Our Process

The Haus Design + Build, Inc. Process

Haus Design + Build, Inc. is your single source for all your residential and commercial projects both interior and exterior. We are a true design-build company offering concierge level service from concept to completion.  Here is what to expect when working with us:

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Your first contact with us will include a free initial consultation at our showroom or at your project. We will determine how to best serve you based on your needs and budget.

Step 2: Design Phase

Following the initial consultation, we will start the design phase of your project, including construction plans, engineering, submittals and landscape if required. Our designers will walk with you every step of the way to create the beautiful masterpiece you desire. We bring 25 years of industry experience to include a wide variety of products sourced from all over the world.

Step 3: Schedule Your Project

Once plans are completed, we go right into the bid phase we price out your project and place you on the schedule. You are invited to our cloud-based client portal where all project communication occurs. No matter where you are in the world, you can track your project including jobsite logs, schedules, payments, selection choices, and communication.

Step 4: Build Phase

Your project will be started and completed in a timely manner with continuous attention to detail as well as effective and ongoing communication. Our desire is that you are extremely satisfied with your project, process, and Coastal Home Design.

Step 5: Final Walkthrough

At completion we will meet with you and walk through the project to ensure your satisfaction. With your approval, we will take pictures of your masterpiece and request a review.
